AHC20416 - Certificate II in Horticulture
On successful completion of this course, students will have acquired the skills and knowledge for a Certificate II in Horticulture.

AHCPCM201 - Recognise plants
AHCPMG201 - Treat Weeds
AHCPMG202 - Treat plant pests, diseases and disorders
Ahcsol202 - Assist with soil or growing media sampling and testing
AHCARB205 - Operate and maintain chainsaws (Elective)
ACHMOM202 - Operate tractors (Elective)
AHCMOM204 - Undertake operational maintenance of machinery ( elective)
AHCARB202 - Fell small trees (Elective)
AHCPGD203 - Prune shrubs and small trees (Elective)
AHCPGD201 - Plant trees and shrubs (Elective)
AHCWRK204 - Work effectively in the industry (Elective)
AHCSOL201 - Determine basic properties of soil and/or growing media (Elective)
AHCMOM203 - Operate basic machinery and equipment (Elective)
AHCINF202 - Install, maintain and repair fences ( Elective)
AHCLSC201 - Assist with landscape construction work(Elective)
AHCTRF201 - Assist with turf construction(Elective)
Entry requirements
Students do need a functional level of literacy and numeracy skills to be able to read labels and do basic calculations. Practical training environments, small class sizes and customisation of programs will provide further support.
Training delivery and assessments
The Certificate II in Horticulture program is delivered over 425 nominal hours. Progression through the full program is dependent on many factors including the student's own capacity and capability. Nominal hours are given as a guide only, and may include a component of work based practice and individual study.

Delivery is face-to-face and workplace-based and/or at the organisation's training room and in the field adjacent or at a contracted venue suitable to the client group

Within 12 months of completing Year 12 students are exempt from contribution fee's
